Create absence credits
When to use this procedure
Follow the steps below to apply any credits for missed classes to the student's account. The student must have been marked absent from the class using an excused absence code for it to be available as a credit amount.
You have created absence reasons including an excused reason for Funeral. Macy Gregory misses a class and is marked absent using the reason code for Funeral. Because Funeral is an excused absence, missed classes for this reason are eligible for credits. After Macy is marked absent, her missed class displays on the Create Absence Credits window. From there you can apply a credit for the cost of the class to Macy's account. Just marking her absent with an excused absence code does not apply the credit to her account.
Steps to complete
Prerequisites: The student must be marked absent on the Create Absence Record window with an excused absence code.
- On the Create Absence Credits window, select the check box of each missed class for which you want to apply credit to the account.
- Click Save. Credit for the class(es) is applied to the student's account.
